Dr. Nason, the founder and medical director of NasonCare, has over twenty years of experience treating patients in the emergency room and urgent care. This trusted experience, and the compassion accompanying our medical services, assure patients they’re in the very best hands.
Growing up on a cattle farm in Tennessee, Dr. Nason learned the value of hard work early on – a lesson that he applied to his studies at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Nason graduated with a BA in Biology, Chemistry, and English before attending East Tennessee State University for medical school, where he served as Vice President of his class.
Dr. Nason then completed a residency in emergency medicine at Louisiana State University and was selected as a United States representative at the International College of Emergency Physicians in Sydney, Australia. This prestigious opportunity fueled his passion for medicine, and it’s this passion that drives him to provide top-quality medical services today.
Dr. Nason is currently board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He is also a certified Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration medical examiner. He holds active medical licenses in multiple states and is accredited by ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
In his free time, Dr. Nason enjoys spending time with his three children, Beau, Cooper, and Sadie. His hobbies include fishing, wakeboarding, and reading.

His healthcare team truly cares. Susan, a graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania, contributes 12 years of trusted experience to the NasonCare team. Susan is not only a radiologic technologist but is also registered in CT and mammography. When she’s not providing high quality care to medical patients, Susan enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also loves baking and cheering on her kids at their sporting events.
A former Labor/Delivery and NICU nurse, Gigi has gained three decades of valuable experience as a consultant and practice administrator in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina. Gigi, a University of Miami graduate, opened Summerville Medical Center and was present when the very first baby was born there. She hopes to celebrate more exciting milestones here at NasonCare! Despite her tremendous career success, Gig considers her family to be her biggest accomplishment. When she’s not spending time with them, Gigi participates in competition cheerleading – a hobby she’s enjoyed for 30 years!
